Finch is a leader in the premium uncoated printing paper market, manufacturing more than 250,000 tons per year for advertising materials, book publishing and business office uses from its single Glens Falls, NY mill. The Company, a significant local employer with deep roots in New York’s Hudson Valley, required capital to modernize. Other transaction challenges included stewardship of 161,000 acres of forest and the presence of significant non-core assets. Capitalizing on Finch’s talented managers, excellent work force and strong brand, Blue Wolf was able to put Finch on a stable financial footing, assure a long - term fiber supply for its manufacturing, and assure tax relief for the Company.
